About
Bencor Self Storage is the self-storage business of Bencor, a family-run company serving Somerset West and the wider Helderberg area. Its website gives its premises in Broadlands, Strand. Storage has been offered since 2013 in shipping containers, which the company chose for their resistance to water and wind.
Containers come in 3-metre, 6-metre and 12-metre lengths, from about 6 to 28 square metres, rented month to month. Customers can also rent a workshop of 15 by 4.5 metres, or open and shaded storage for vehicles, boats, caravans and trailers on request. Security includes 24/7 CCTV, electric fencing, an alarm and armed response. A collection and delivery service is available, and the company also hires out earthmoving plant.
