Blackheath Storage

Blackheath Storage rents 20 ft steel shipping containers for self storage inside the Blackheath Small Business Centre in Cape Town. Each container measures 5.9 m long inside, with 13.87 square metres of floor and 33 cubic metres of space, about the size of a single garage. The containers are waterproof and sit almost at ground level, so a car or truck can reverse right up to the doors.

Access is from 06:00 to 20:00 every day. The centre has a single entrance, electric fencing, guards on site 24 hours and CCTV in the yard. Each container has a steel lock box that shields the tenant's own padlock. Rentals are month to month with a one-month minimum and two weeks' notice before month-end. A refundable deposit applies and tenants arrange their own insurance. Inside temperatures follow the weather.
