About
Gamagara Enterprises in Kathu runs a self-storage facility alongside its weighbridge, scrap metal and solar businesses. The standard unit is a 15 square metre single garage (51.5 cubic metres), big enough for a vehicle or a three-bedroom home's furniture, and divisions can be removed to create larger spaces of up to 195 square metres. All units are at ground level with roller doors and their own entrance, with parking and a loading zone in front.
Security includes 24-hour monitoring linked to a security company, armed response, CCTV on the outside of the units, guard dogs, night lights, fencing and an on-site sleep-in manager with a panic button. Electricity is not allowed in units. Tenants fit their own locks and insure their goods, and a refundable one-month deposit applies. A truck with driver, a forklift and labourers can be hired.
