Plett Storage

Plett Storage on Airport Road, Plettenberg Bay, rents lock-up storage units and has added a secure parking area for boats and caravans. Customers lock their own stores and keep the keys. They can visit free of charge during business hours by giving their name, store number and ID number, and access between 20:00 and 06:00 is by prior arrangement. Security staff monitor all visits.

Physical security includes an electric perimeter fence, motion-sensor beams, CCTV at the entrance, night lighting, 24-hour security and a radio link to an armed-response service. The buildings have damp-proof membranes under floors and walls, weather strips under ground-floor doors, and roofs that slope away from wind-driven rain. A manager and an assistant supervise the facility day to day.
