Storage City in Mount Edgecombe is one of three Storage City facilities in KwaZulu-Natal, along with Amanzimtoti and Richards Bay. The company was established in 2000 and has more than 2,000 storage units across its sites. Units at Mount Edgecombe start at about 3.5 square metres.
All units have drive-up access. Security includes 24-hour guards on site, electric fencing and lock-up gates, and tenants supply their own lock, which can be bought at the office along with bubble wrap and other packing materials. Rental periods are flexible, from a month to several years. Storage City serves personal, business and industrial customers. Goods left unpaid for several months may be sold at public auction.
