Storageland Ottery

Storageland Ottery is one of Storageland's three self-storage facilities in Cape Town, together with Westlake and Sun Valley. Customers rent self-contained, lock-up concrete storerooms, lock them and keep the key.

The company has built its stores to stay dry: floors sit about 35 millimetres above the outside ground, damp-proof sheeting runs under the buildings, roads slope away and roof sheets are cut without overlaps. Security staff are on site 24 hours a day, and tenants can get in at any hour with their security and store numbers, giving notice for visits between 8pm and 6am. Leases are flexible, with two weeks' notice preferred. Rent is due monthly in advance, and a refundable deposit is held. Flammable goods and perishables are not allowed.
